Medical Assistant Instructor (Part-Time / Adjunct)
Location: Yakima, WA.
Pay: $1,250 per course (paid over 5 weeks).

Position Overview:
Charter College is expanding its Medical Assistant Program in Yakima, WA and is seeking an experienced Part-Time Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team.
This position teaches in a blended learning environment, combining in-person classroom and lab instruction with online learning tools such as discussion boards and learning management systems. The goal is to create an engaging and flexible learning experience while maintaining the value of face-to-face instruction.
This role reports directly to the Program Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction based on the established curriculum.
Follow course outlines, objectives, and evaluation methods.
Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials.
Monitor student attendance and participation.
Grade assignments and submit final grades according to institutional policies.
Identify and support at-risk students and assist with retention efforts.
Provide academic assistance during scheduled office hours or by appointment.
Maintain communication with the Program Manager regarding student progress and concerns.
Track equipment and supply inventory for instructional use.
Maintain accurate student and course documentation as required.
Participate in faculty meetings, training, and professional development activities.
Serve on committees or assist with program development as needed.
Substitute for other instructors when necessary.
Qualifications:
Current Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA required).
Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to engage and motivate adult learners.
Experience in blended or online teaching environments preferred (not required).
Schedule:
This is a part-time adjunct position. Instructors must be available to teach one of the following schedules:
Day Schedule:
Monday - Thursday.
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
OR
Evening Schedule:
Monday - Thursday.
6:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
Compensation:
$1,250 per course (paid over 5 weeks).
