River Bend Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our in-house therapy department. This is an outstanding opportunity for a licensed rehabilitation professional to oversee a collaborative interdisciplinary team while driving exceptional clinical outcomes for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department

• Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of physical, occupational, and speech therapy professionals

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations, as well as licensing and accreditation standards

• Monitor therapy outcomes, productivity, quality measures, and documentation to maintain excellence in resident care

• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, case management, and facility leadership to develop individualized treatment plans

• Promote a positive, team-oriented culture focused on clinical excellence and outstanding customer service

• Assist with program development and implement innovative rehabilitation initiatives that improve resident outcomes

• Manage staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and departmental performance

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Indiana as one of the following:

  • Physical Therapist (PT)

  • Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

  • Occupational Therapist (OT)

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

• Previous Director of Rehabilitation experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology program

• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting

• Prior leadership or management experience preferred, or demonstrated success serving as a clinical leader or therapy team lead

• Strong knowledge of Medicare, PDPM, regulatory compliance, and skilled nursing documentation requirements

• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
