Position Summary:
Child and Family Services partners with Erie County Department of Social Services to provide Motivational Interviewing Wraparound services to assist youth and families within the Erie County System of Care. Care Coordination is provided through home-based, strength-based, individualized service planning. Linkages, coordination, and monitoring services to improve and promote family stability are the focus of services.
The MiiWrap Supervisor leads and supports a team of Care Coordinators providing these critical services to families throughout Erie County. This position is responsible for training, coaching, mentoring, and developing staff to deliver high-quality, family-centered services while meeting all contractual, regulatory, and agency requirements.
The Supervisor serves as a coach, mentor, and resources to staff, helping them build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to support families facing complex challenges. Working closely with the Program Manager, the Supervisor promotes strong practice, monitors program outcomes, ensures compliance with funding and documentation requirements, and fosters a supportive team culture that values accountability, professional growth, collaboration, and employee well-being.
Major Responsibilities:
Coaching & Staff Development
- Provide reflective supervision, coaching, guidance, and ongoing support to Care Coordination staff.
- Conduct regular individual supervision, team meetings, field observations, and written performance evaluations.
- Support staff in developing effective assessment, engagement, safety planning, advocacy, and case management skills.
- Review cases with staff to ensure services are progressing toward measurable goals, addressing identified needs, and moving toward timely case closure when appropriate.
- Identify training and professional development opportunities that strengthen practice and support career growth.
- Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and employee well-being.
- Support staff in navigating complex family situations, maintaining healthy professional boundaries, and utilizing self-care strategies to reduce burnout and promote retention.
Program Operations
- Partner with the Program Manager to ensure effective program implementation and achievement of contractual, agency, and program performance expectations.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and actively participate in recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and retention efforts.
- Manage a limited caseload to maintain direct practice knowledge and support program billing requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, program planning, outcome monitoring, and implementation of best practices.
- Assist in monitoring productivity and service delivery to ensure families receive timely, high-quality support.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Monitor staff documentation, service delivery, and case activity to ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Collaborate with Program Manager and Corporate Compliance and Quality Improvement staff to prepare for audits, reviews, and monitoring activities.
- Support staff in meeting documentation, billing, and reporting requirements.
- Utilize data and performance measures to identify trends, address concerns, and support continuous program improvement.
Collaboration & Community Partnerships
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with Erie County Department of Social Services and other community partners.
- Participate in meetings with funders, community stakeholders, schools, service providers, and other systems supporting children and families.
- Advocate for families and support coordination of services across systems.
- Representing Child and Family Services in a professional manner that reflects the agency's mission and values.
Systems & Administrative Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and oversight regarding the use of Connections, Fidelity HR, and other required systems.
- Ensure staff adherence to agency procedures, communication protocols, and technology requirements.
- Maintain compliance with agency vehicle usage and safety policies.
- Complete administrative tasks, reports, and supervisory documentation in a timely manner.

- Promote equitable access to services and respectful engagement with all children, families, and community partners.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field required
- Minimum of three years of experience working with children and families in child welfare, family support, behavioral health, education, housing, or related human services settings required
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, train, or provide guidance to staff, interns, or colleagues.
- Knowledge of child welfare practice, including child safety, family assessment, abuse and neglect concerns, and preventive services.
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support staff in managing complex family situations while maintaining a strengths-based, family-centered approach.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience in community-based, family support, preventive, or child welfare programs.
- Experience providing coaching, staff development, and reflective supervision.
- Familiarity with Connections, Salesforce, or similar case management systems.
Competitive Salary of $60,500–$62,500 annually based on experience
