Responsibilities:
- Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole;
- Perform quantity take-offs for reinforcing steel, wire mesh, and accessories;
- Prepare quotations for distribution to the customers;
- Review contract drawings and specifications for all requirements on a project;
- Maintain a record of all estimating in current estimating log;
- Customer communications regarding requirements, as needed;
- Follow up with clients on submitted proposal and budgets;
- Must adhere to safety programs and standards;
- Ability to express ideas and thoughts both in written and verbal forms in a clear and respectful manner. Must be able to communicate to customers and co-workers in a clear and concise manner;
- Working knowledge of estimating math skills and reasoning ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables;
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail along with the ability to organize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision;
- Ability to recognize new business opportunities;
- Possess experience in relationship building, account maintenance, and outbound sales;
- Self-starter, organized and driven;
- Additional duties as assigned.
