The City of Peoria is looking for hard working individuals to fill the Street Maintenance Worker positions in their Street Maintenance Unit (Asphalt). You will perform general street maintenance tasks such as placing hot asphalt for repair, filling potholes, removing obstructions and debris from roadways, providing traffic control, attend trainings, and sharing your unique talents in all tasks listed and all others as assigned. This labor-intensive position will need someone who enjoys working outdoors and can meet the physical demands listed in our job description.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Passion for working outdoors in the elements.
Working knowledge of basic construction practices.
Great attitude and the ability to work within a team structure and perform solo tasks as required.
