Incumbents monitor treatment processes, perform laboratory analyses, inspect equipment, perform troubleshooting activities, take compliance samples, keep regulatory records, perform minor maintenance, and use a computerized maintenance management system.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or G.E.D., and two years of wastewater utilities experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
Must have an Arizona State Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator and Grade 1 Wastewater Collections System Operator Certification.
SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants whose education, training, and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview.
