Maintenance Technician
Shift: Varies – Approx 20 hours a week during the hours of Monday – Friday 7AM - 4PM
Salary: $22.00/hr
Location: Commute between Stevens Point, Appleton, and Wisconsin Rapids
Job Duties:
- Ensures timely completion (48 hours) of all assigned work orders.
- Assess, diagnose, and complete repairs on equipment such as imops, vacuums, sweepers, or scrubbers.
- Use of hand and power tools on a regular basis (wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, etc.)
- Assists in prioritizing work orders and monitoring maintenance of equipment and building.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- General knowledge of components and pumps (vacuums/sweepers)
- Ability to repair and maintain mechanical equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues with machinery
- Knowledge of wiring, controls, and automatic systems
- Ability to identify, diagnose, and correct the damaged equipment
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and gauges
- Knowledge of battery-operated machinery
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus
- Experience in building maintenance such as small drywall repairs, fixtures, and painting (Preferred)
Safety
- Follows all company safety policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Understand how to safely operate and maintain equipment; Inspects equipment before each use; uses personal protective equipment when necessary.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 2-years work experience in similar type role.
- Must be able to work on call;
- You must be 18 years old.
- For safety reasons, you must be able to speak English.
- Ability to lift (including over your head), up to 50 pounds frequently, or if more than 50 pounds with lift assistance.
- You must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen
- Good driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Check.
