Success in this position depends on persistence, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset and someone who enjoys tracking down rare parts and finding solutions when standard vendors fall short. - Investigate the original source/manufacturer of components and pursue direct or alternative sourcing options when viable
- Develop sourcing strategies that reduce reliance on single OEM channels where appropriate
- Evaluate compatibility, substitutions, and cross-referenced parts to maintain equipment uptime
- Support a growing multi-vendor service model, sourcing parts across various imaging equipment brands and platforms
- Build and maintain a network of specialty vendors, brokers, and repair partners
What Sets This Role Apart

- Looks past OEM labeling to understand underlying manufacturing sources
- Navigates multi-vendor environments with confidence and speed
- Leverages non-traditional sourcing methods to solve urgent service challenges
- Balances cost, availability, and reliability when identifying sourcing options
Preferred Experience
- Experience sourcing parts across multiple vendors or equipment manufacturers
- Demonstrated ability to identify original manufacturers or alternative supply sources beyond OEM channels
- Background in aftermarket parts sourcing, field service support, or equipment repair environments
