Coast has an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team of construction professionals based in Arlington, WA.

This is a full-time traveling position. The employee will be on the road most of the time generally working 10 days on and 4 days off, moving between project locations as assigned. Travel will routinely involve multi-day or multi-week stays.

Key responsibilities include

The Assistant Superintendent supports the Project Superintendent in coordinating and overseeing daily field operations to ensure construction activities are performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This role assists with supervising subcontractors, monitoring site conditions, enforcing safety requirements, coordinating inspections, tracking progress, and addressing field issues as they arise. The Assistant Superintendent helps maintain quality control, supports schedule adherence, and promotes clear communication between the field, project management team, and trade partners to ensure successful project execution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Professional appearance and attitude, possessing strong verbal and written communication skills to represent Coast Construction Group in a positive and professional manner. Thorough knowledge of coordination and scheduling. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings accurately. Proficient at reading, writing, and comprehending contractual legal documents and/or draft addendums. PC literate for correspondence spread sheet tracking and project management coordination, including basic skills with MS Office. MS Project a plus. Demonstrates established and consistent methods of multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or related degree
• 2 to 4 years of related experience working on Heavy Industrial construction projects (or equivalent combination of education and experience.)
