Job Description: Performs a variety of secretarial, clerical, receptionist and administrative support services for the Employee Health/Infection Control departments. Performs clinical duties as they pertain to the office. Performs routine medical procedures and tests and assists the Employee Heath/Infection Preventionist as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) OR be a graduate of an approved program in medical assisting and meets all eligibility requirements for certification as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
- If a recent graduate of an approved program of medical assistant, incumbent must obtain certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) within two years of employment.
- Current BLS certification.
- Incumbent will be required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to all age groups of patients.
Experience: One year of experience as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, preferable in a physician office setting. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required.
