JOB SUMMARY
The HVAC SUPERINTENDENT will be responsible for overseeing all field operations on HVAC new construction projects from start to finish, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is responsible for supervising field personnel, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, enforcing safety compliance, and maintaining clear communication between the field and office. The Superintendent serves as the on-site leader, ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• PLAN, organize, and oversee all field activities on construction projects, ensuring work meets design specifications and company standards.
• DIRECT and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient daily operations.
• DEVELOP and maintain project schedules, coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials.
• CONDUCT daily site meetings and safety briefings with field staff.
• ENSURE compliance with all OSHA and company safety policies, reporting incidents and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• WORK closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Inspectors to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
• REVIEW and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
• MONITOR work quality and ensure adherence to construction drawings and specifications.
• MAINTAIN accurate daily reports, material logs, and other project documentation.
• MANAGE site logistics, including equipment scheduling, deliveries, and staging.
• INSPECT completed work for compliance and ensure proper closeout of punch lists.
• SEVER as the primary on-site contact for clients, inspectors, and subcontractors, representing the company professionally.
• PERFORMS OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Skilled in leadership and team management with the ability to motivate and direct crews.
• Knowledge of general construction methods, site work, and utilities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical documents.
• Skilled in organization methods, time management, and self organization.
• Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution.
• Skilled in written and verbal communication skills for coordination with staff, management, and clients.
• Skilled in the use of project management software, scheduling tools and standard computer applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
TEN (10) years of progressive experience in HVAC construction supervision, including experience as a foreman or superintendent
Strong commitment to maintaining a safe and productive job site

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with HVAC Project Management
OSHA 30 certification preferred
First Aid/CPR certification preferred

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must pass a criminal background check
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have and maintain a good driving record
Must pass preemployment drug screening

WORK CONDITIONS:
Works outside in all types of weather and may be exposed to extreme heat and cold, rain, snow, sun etc.

SAFETY SENSITIVE
This is a safety sensitive position due to driving requirements or job responsibilities whole include safety-sensitive tasks that require performing duties fraught with risk of injury to others where even a momentary lapse of attention may have grave and disastrous consequences.
