Cornerstone – Outpatient Mental Health Clinic Therapist
Cornerstone empowers people living with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders to live, work, and integrate successfully into the community. We envision that each person we serve will have a meaningful life of their choosing. As the largest outpatient behavioral health agency in Montgomery County, we offer years of evidence based treatment experience to our consumers and practical training to our staff. Our robust training program allows staff members to develop and grow in the position and provides the basis for upward mobility within the agency.
Responsibilities of the Therapist
- Provide supportive therapy and substance abuse counseling for both individuals and groups
- Provide clients with assertive case management including appropriate assessment, planning, coordination, linkage, delivery and advocacy of services for all assigned clients
- Provide consultation to other programs as well as liaison services to outside agencies and families when needed
Qualifications of the Therapist
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Valid Licensure in the State of Maryland (LCSW-C, LCPC, LMSW or LGPC), requirements may vary by team
- Two to three years experience providing mental health services and addictions counseling.
- Experience in individual, group and family therapy, case management and substance abuse treatment)

Eligible for health care (single and family) the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.
