The Life Enrichment Program Assistant helps create meaningful activities and social opportunities that support the individual interests, abilities, and needs of residents in our memory care program.
Great Part-Time Opportunities: You will be scheduled 3 shifts/week, 4:00-8:00pm and every-other weekend/holiday 2:00-8:00pm. We are looking at an August 1st start date.
Qualifications:
- Genuine interest in working with older adults, individuals with memory loss, and those with physical or cognitive challenges.
- Passion for creating meaningful, engaging, and personalized experiences that enhance residents’ quality of life.
- Basic understanding of aging and dementia-related needs, with willingness to complete specialized memory care training.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
- Patient, compassionate, and respectful approach when supporting residents and their individual needs.
- Creative, energetic, and dependable with the ability to contribute ideas and support program growth.
- Ability to use good judgment, problem-solve, and make decisions in a variety of situations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and assist with group and individualized activities that promote engagement, social connection, and quality of life for residents.
- Support the Life Enrichment Program Coordinator in developing activities and goals based on each resident’s interests, abilities, and needs.
- Collaborate with nursing and care team members to ensure activities support residents’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
