We are seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, and service-oriented Residential Services Coordinator to join our team in a fast-paced residential housing environment! This position plays a critical role in supporting daily operations, resident engagement, safety, and staff coordination across both first and second shifts.
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic setting, can effectively manage competing priorities, and demonstrates exceptional communication and problem-solving skills. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, visitors, property management staff, maintenance personnel, and service providers.
Position Summary
The Residential Services Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for residents and staff, helping ensure the smooth operation of residential services while maintaining a safe, welcoming, and supportive living environment. The position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to work a split-shift arrangement that bridges daytime and evening operations.
Available Shift(s)
Full-time Monday-Friday Noon-8pm or 1pm-9pm
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents, visitors, and community partners.
- Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively between first-shift and second-shift staff to ensure continuity of operations.
- Monitor resident activities and common areas to promote safety and compliance with community expectations.
- Document incidents, resident interactions, and operational concerns accurately and thoroughly.
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation when appropriate.
- Coordinate with property management, maintenance, security, and supportive service teams regarding resident needs and building operations.
- Support resident engagement activities and community-building initiatives.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and unusual situations following organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
Experience and Educations:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in residential services, supportive housing, property management, customer service, behavioral health, social services, or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during stressful or crisis situations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task.
- Must be able to work effectively with populations that have experienced vulnerability, trauma, economic poverty, incarceration, substance use, developmental delays, compromised mental wellness, brain injuries, literacy, and numeracy issues, and/or, other conditions or situations that have impacted housing stability.
- Must be solution-focused and organized in achieving objectives with all service users.
- Must be able to motivate and organize self to complete tasks with service users, often in non-therapeutic environments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer skills and data entry required.
- Requires verbal and numerical intelligence.

- Physical demands: coordinator will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers; lifting up to 20 pounds; speaking; listening; reaching; carrying; must spend long hours on the computer entering information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. There are a number of deadlines associated with this position.
- Work environment: A busy office area; the incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis, and deal with a wide variety of people on various issues.
