Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and dedicated Commercial Truck Technicians to join our Fleet Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will have experience servicing various types of medium & heavy duty commercial vehicles and possess a strong mechanical knowledge base.

Duties

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with DOT & factory standards.
• Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and perform repairs.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts and estimates.
• Saves and tags parts of the job if returns, cores, or warranty and assist in managing sites inventory.
• Experience with DOT & BIT Inspections
• Experience with a DMS or Fleet Maintenance Program for repair orders
• Communicates with Parts department immediately for parts, and Site Manager regarding urgent matters, & assist with road calls as needed
• Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order via laptop, desktop, iPad
• Road tests vehicles when required.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle diagnostics and vehicle maintenance.
• Must have medium and /or heavy duty diesel truck experience in all or one: Kenworth, Freightliner, Hino, Cummins
• Ability to complete tire replacements by hand
• Basic Computer skills with Microsoft Office for emails, and basic computer navigation
• Diagnostic Software experience preferred with Insite, DX2 or 3, Jpro, eTech, etc
• Full time work schedule with overtime as needed
• Valid Driver License and clean driving record.
• Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation and drug screen

Preferred but not required

• Experience with Duramax, Air & Hydraulic Brake Trailers
• Tool Inventory
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of PTO, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Welding & Fabrication Experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy objects on average 50 Lb
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Pay: $25.00 - $55.00 per hour
