Job Title: Cashier/Attendant
Department: Operations
Reports To: Area Supervisor / Operations Manager / Facilities Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 3PM - 11PM
Work Location: In-person at assigned facility
Position Overview:
The Cashier/Attendant is responsible for all aspects of cashiering operations, including recording, handling, and depositing money from parking-related transactions. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth customer interactions, maintaining site cleanliness, and accurately processing revenue while following company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Includes but is not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned:

Customer Relations & Service:
- Provide a courteous and professional relationship with all customers, vendors, co-workers, and managers.
- Treat others with respect and professionalism at all times.

Cash Handling & Transaction Processing:
- Properly collect, record, and deposit all cash, credit, and other parking-related transactions according to company guidelines.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork for each shift, including vehicle entry/exit logs (if applicable).

Incident & Maintenance Reporting:
- Immediately report any damages incurred and any claims of damage reported by customers, including completing an incident report.
- Report maintenance concerns (e.g., potholes, missing signage, hazards) and any vehicles meeting impound criteria to the supervisor.
- Alert the supervisor to any unusual circumstances at the facility.

Site Cleanliness & Appearance:
- Maintain a clean booth, station, or parking location by ensuring trash and debris are regularly removed.
- Maintain signage displays as directed, ensuring all components are clean and in proper working condition.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times, wearing the designated uniform (if required) and displaying the identification badge.

Operations & Compliance:
- Regular, consistent attendance during scheduled work hours with the ability to work overtime if requested.
- Remain visible to tenants and guests during assigned shifts, except during legal rest and meal breaks.
- Dispatch drivers to airport terminals (if applicable).
- Clock in/out at scheduled work times using manual or electronic timekeeping systems.
Required Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent.
- One to three months of related experience or training desirable.
- Must be comfortable with data entry and using electronic devices.

Licenses:
- Valid state-issued driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- May be required to pass a company driving skills test.

Language Skills:
- Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, or other employees.

Mathematical Skills:
- Able to perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to compute parking costs and process transactions.
- Able to correctly handle cash transactions, including making change.
- May be required to use an adding machine, calculator, or cash register.

Reasoning Ability:
- Able to apply common sense when performing duties and following written and oral instructions.
- Able to address problems involving a few variables in standard situations.
Internal Compliance & Audits:
- All employees are subject to internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding revenue recording, handling, and deposits.
- Failing an internal audit may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
