We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our unique facility that blends the structure of a franchise-style used vehicle operation with the creativity and challenge of a performance and specialty shop. This is a heavy line–focused technician role ideal for someone who enjoys real mechanical work, advanced diagnostics, and variety—without being stuck doing repetitive maintenance all day. You’ll support our used vehicle department while also having opportunities to work around performance builds, specialty vehicles, and enthusiast platforms.

• Used car inspections and recon

• Diagnostics, tires, engine and transmission replacements

• Major mechanical and heavy-line repairs

Performance & Specialty Shop

• Enthusiast vehicles, hot rods, and customs

• Modified and high-performance platforms

• Performance upgrades and unique builds not found in typical shops

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform engine replacements and major mechanical repairs.

• Transmission removal and replacement (R&R).

• Complete used vehicle inspections and recon work.

• Diagnose drivability and complex mechanical issues.

• Perform repairs efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards.

• Communicate with the parts department to source needed components.

• Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.

• Identify additional safety or service needs and communicate with service advisors.

• Road test vehicles when required.

• Save and tag warranty or customer-requested parts.

• Stay current with manufacturer technical bulletins and training.

• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, hazardous waste, and all federal, state, and local regulations.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation: $25-$35 per team flat rate hour with efficiency average of 130%. Expected annual income of $65,000-$78,000.

• Generous PTO: We prioritize work-life balance, offering industry-leading PTO. New full-time employees accrue 4 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 96 hours in the first year, with increases over time.

• Paid Holidays: Hannah Motor Company offers 5 paid holidays per year to Automotive Technicians subject to completion of the introductory period and other eligibility requirements as per company policy.

Qualifications:

• Previous automotive repair experience required.

• Strong background in heavy mechanical work.

• Comfortable with engines, transmissions, and major repairs.

• Solid diagnostic and drivability troubleshooting skills.

• Detail-oriented with vehicle inspections.

• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

• Ability to read and comprehend repair instructions and technical information.

• Ability to use computer hardware and software.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Valid drivers license and insurable under company insurance.
