Objective of job:
This role is responsible for supervising logistics personnel, ensuring delivery performance, maintaining compliance with logistics processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Principal Activities:
Lead daily inbound receiving, warehousing, inventory management, material flow, and outbound logistics operations.
Ensure on-time delivery performance for internal and external customers.
Monitor, analyze, and report Logistics KPI metrics.
Develop and implement logistics systems, standardized work, procedures, and training programs.
Support plant strategy, new launches, and development projects as required.
Lead, coach, train, motivate, and evaluate logistics team members.
Manage staffing, personnel assignments, and shift planning to support operational requirements.
Take corrective and disciplinary action as needed in accordance with company policies.
Ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, machinery, and materials to meet performance targets.
Identify and implement process, equipment, and system improvements.
Respond effectively to operational disruptions, bottlenecks, and changing business needs.
Ensure compliance with all DRÄXLMAIER and customer-required processes and procedures.
Promote and support company initiatives including Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Training, 5S, Human Resources, and Environmental programs.
Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and other departments to achieve business objectives.
Support large-scale company initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
3–5 years of manufacturing logistics experience in warehousing, material flow, inventory control, shipping/receiving, or supply chain operations.
3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, material flow, and production support.
Experience with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Automotive manufacturing experience.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with Just-in-Time (JIT) and automotive supply chain operations.
