Responsibilities — What you'll do:
- Play a key role in designing, developing, deploying, and demonstrating feature-rich applications and R&D projects
- Work on the Next-Generation Open Mission Planning System for the DoW
- Articulate the long-term vision for projects and translate it into detailed features and feasible software designs
- Develop the architectural runway necessary for large solutions
- Learn emerging technologies and programming tools to keep you and your team as well equipped as possible
Required Qualifications — We need someone who:
- Has a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field and 15 years of experience
- Actively programs with one or more of the following languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Typescript
- Demonstrates strong fundamental skills in software design and development and the ability to coordinate the team's workflow
- Engages with teammates, both virtually and face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues, as well as present solutions to clients
- Manages time well and can prioritize tasks to ensure projects are completed on time
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
Preferred Qualifications — It's even better if you:
- Have experience using Web frameworks such as React, Node.js, Vue.js, Next.js, ASP.NET, or Angular
- Have Experience developing containerized microservices in a Kubernetes environment
- Have a background in developing mission planning applications for the DoW
- Have examples of code or applications you've built that we can check out
- Are proficient with multiple IDEs, Languages, or Frameworks
- Have a background taking an entire development through launch
- Can demonstrate proficiency with AI-Assisted software development workflows
- Received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications
