Who We Are: At Eclipse Specialty & Emergency Pet Care, we’re more than just a hospital—we’re a community where your skills and passion for veterinary medicine are truly valued. Located in Whippany, NJ, our employee-owned facility offers cutting-edge care and a supportive environment where your growth and well-being are prioritized. We believe in truly human leadership, empowering our team to provide exceptional care to pets and their owners.
Why Join Us?
Internal medicine draws a particular kind of technician — one who is energized by complexity, who finds satisfaction in the diagnostic process, and who wants to understand the whole patient, not just one system. If you're the kind of tech who asks why, who thrives when no two cases look the same, and who wants to build a clinical skillset that spans every corner of veterinary medicine, this is the role for you.
Our Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians work at the intersection of diagnostics, procedure, and long-term patient care — seeing both scheduled appointments and urgent cases that require sharp thinking and fast action. The pace of this department is real, and so is the reward. You'll develop relationships with patients and families across extended cases and complex disease management, while also being ready to pivot when something unexpected walks through the door.
The breadth of what you'll be exposed to here is exceptional. Our internal medicine team performs a wide range of specialized diagnostics and procedures including endoscopy, ultrasound, bone marrow aspirates, arthrocentesis, feeding tube placements, cystoscopy, ureteral hydropropulsion, fluoroscopy, and CT scans — a scope of practice that most technicians never encounter in a single role, let alone a single department.
And throughout all of it, you'll never be learning alone. Our internists are deeply invested in the growth of their technicians, actively educating and mentoring each team member on the medicine behind every case and every procedure. Combined with a team of experienced technicians who are equally committed to each other's development, the internal medicine department at Eclipse is a place where your clinical knowledge will grow every single day.
