The Role
We're hiring a Warehouse Receiving Manager to lead our receiving and inventory team.
You'll oversee the day-to-day inbound operation, ensuring product is received accurately, inventory is organized correctly, and shipments move efficiently from the dock into active warehouse locations. You'll also lead a small team, establish daily priorities, solve problems as they arise, and continuously improve receiving processes.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll spend time both on the warehouse floor and at your computer coordinating inbound work, resolving inventory discrepancies, and communicating with internal teams.
What You'll Do
Receiving & Inventory
- Manage all inbound receiving activities from vendors, manufacturers, and carriers.
- Verify quantities, SKUs, packaging, and product condition before inventory is received.
- Ensure inventory is received accurately in ShipHero and assigned to the correct warehouse locations.
- Oversee staging, labeling, and putaway to keep inventory flowing efficiently.
- Investigate and resolve receiving discrepancies, shortages, and damaged shipments.
- Maintain an organized receiving dock and staging area.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and support the receiving team.
- Assign daily work and monitor productivity and accuracy.
- Help onboard new employees and reinforce standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate labor priorities with warehouse leadership.
Inventory Control
- Support cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Improve receiving accuracy and inventory organization.
- Help maintain accurate warehouse data to support fulfillment and customer operations.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Use ShipHero and operational systems to manage inbound inventory.
- Coordinate inbound shipments and operational tasks using Monday.com.
- Build and improve SOPs for receiving and inventory processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
What You Bring
Required
- 3+ years of warehouse, receiving, inventory, or logistics experience.
- Experience leading warehouse teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working in a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience with ShipHero or another Warehouse Management System.
- Experience with Monday.com or similar workflow software.
- Experience in e-commerce, fulfillment, or 3PL operations.
- Experience managing receiving operations and inventory accuracy.
- Forklift certification or warehouse equipment experience.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini to improve documentation, organization, or operational workflows.
