The Administrative Assistant 1 will perform office support and clerical work for the Center for Teaching and Learning.
In order to maintain a welcoming environment for prospective students, students, community members, and visiting university staff, the duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as primary administrative support for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)
- Assist with planning and coordination for faculty development, events and program logistics
- Support the development and distribution of CTL communications
- Assist with organizing and updating CTL digital resources in Brightspace, SharePoint and other supported platforms
- Assist with budget, purchasing, awards and record keeping
- Provide excellent customer service, including telephone, e-mail or in person inquiries
- Provides building coverage for receptionist in the shared rotation
- Actively participate in university activities
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have permanent appointment in an Administrative Assistant 1 New York State classified position (or be eligible for transfer) or be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service eligible list for Administrative Assistant 1.
OR
Candidates must have permanent appointment in an Administrative Assistant 1 New York State classified position (or be eligible for transfer) or be reachable for appointment on the current NY State Civil Service eligible list for Administrative Assistant Trainee 1.
OR
For Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 or 2: one year of permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law.

NON-COMPETITIVE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (NY HELPS):

Work Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 5:00pm

Salary: SG-11 $47,695 - $58,447
