At Energy Management Corporation (EMC), we don’t just provide electrical products and services, we build lasting partnerships with our customers. We are seeking an experienced CX Specialist to join our Salt Lake City team.
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experience and a strong background in the industrial and/or electrical industry. Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) years of industrial and/or electrical industry experience. Candidates without relevant industry experience will not be considered.
Position Summary
The CX Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for customers while supporting our outside sales representatives and field service technicians. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing quotations, processing orders, coordinating projects, and helping customers identify the best solutions for their industrial electrical equipment and service needs.
This is not a call center position. You’ll work directly with manufacturers, contractors, industrial facilities, municipalities, and commercial customers who rely on EMC’s expertise to keep their operations running.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and online inquiries.
Prepare accurate quotations and process customer orders.
Support outside sales representatives and field service technicians with customer requests and project coordination.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive, professional service.
Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts through consultative selling and proactive outreach.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Maintain accurate customer information within CRM and ERP systems.
Develop and maintain working knowledge of EMC’s products, services, and capabilities to confidently recommend solutions.
Resolve customer concerns quickly while maintaining EMC’s commitment to exceptional service.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the industrial and/or electrical industry.
Minimum of two (2) years of customer service, inside sales, technical support, customer success, or technical sales experience.
Working knowledge of industrial electrical products such as electric motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), generators, motor controls, pumps, rotating equipment, or similar industrial products.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using CRM and/or ERP software.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
Preferred
Experience with Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Epicor, SharpSpring, or similar CRM/ERP platforms.
Experience supporting industrial service operations or electrical distribution.
Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or rotating equipment repair.
