Essential Job Responsibilities:
Take directions from supervisor or site manager
High level of attention to detail is essential
Perform various Mail Center activities (sorting, metering, folding, inserting, delivery, pickup, etc.)
Drive company vehicle to post office to pick up and drop off mail
Sort and deliver USPS mail and packages
Operate inserting, mailing, copy, and scanning equipment
Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
Strictly follow all business and safety procedures
Process time-sensitive mail and packages
Lift and carry boxes of stationery or copy paper when needed
Monitor print and mail supply inventory levels
Maintain all required logs and reports
Complete all monthly and annual company-assigned training promptly
Participate in cross-training and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
2-5 years mail room experience
1-2 years customer service experience
Valid driver’s license needed
Window PC skills needed (MS Word and Excel)
Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
Ability to stand while using mail equipment for extended periods.
Ability to engage in repetitive motion activities like twisting, bending, and climbing.
Lifting up to 55 lbs. with or without accommodations
Close vision and ability to focus are necessary for performing tasks accurately.
Experience with data entry is desirable.
Willingness and availability to work additional hours if assigned
Willingness to submit to a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
