Company Overview
At F45 Rice Military, we believe great coaching is built on technical excellence, genuine relationships, and relentless execution. We hold ourselves to a high standard and strive to deliver an exceptional member experience every day.
We're looking for a coach who wants more than coaching - someone eager to grow into a Studio Manager by taking ownership of people, operations, and business KPIs.
Position Summary
The F45 Coach | Studio Manager in Training (SMIT) is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience while supporting the studio's growth through membership acquisition, member retention, and operational excellence.
Working directly with the Studio Owner, the SMIT will develop the leadership, operational, sales, and business skills required to manage a high-performing studio. This role is designed for someone who wants to grow beyond coaching by taking increasing ownership of team performance, member experience, studio operations, and key business metrics.
Success in this role is measured by the ability to deliver exceptional coaching, improve member retention, increase recurring membership, execute operational initiatives, develop coaches, and contribute to the overall performance of the studio.
Core Responsibilities
- Coach a minimum of 14 classes per week, delivering an exceptional member experience in every session.
- Deliver highly impactful coaching through technical excellence, movement quality, and individualized attention.
- Build meaningful relationships that drive member engagement and long-term retention.
- Execute the studio's member retention strategy through consistent follow-up, accountability, and member celebrations.
- Conduct consultations, convert trials into memberships, and contribute to membership growth.
- Support daily studio operations while continuously improving systems, organization, and efficiency.
- Develop, mentor, and hold the coaching team accountable to the studio's standards.
- Take ownership of key studio KPIs, including membership growth, retention, trial conversion, member experience, and operational excellence.
- Progressively assume greater leadership responsibility as you develop into a Studio Manager.
Who We're Looking For
This role is for someone who wants more than coaching. You aspire to lead people, improve systems, grow a business, and eventually become a Studio Manager.
The right person:
- Is passionate about coaching and helping people improve their lives.
- Holds themselves to exceptionally high standards and takes pride in the details.
- Is highly organized and naturally creates order, structure, and efficiency.
- Is an executor who follows projects through to completion and measures success by outcomes, not effort.
- Takes ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do.
- Is motivated by KPIs, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Leads by example and elevates the performance of those around them.
- Builds trust quickly with members and teammates through professionalism, consistency, and genuine care.
- Welcomes feedback, seeks growth, and is always looking for ways to improve.
- Wants to build a long-term career in fitness leadership, not simply coach classes.
Growth Opportunity
This role is designed to develop into a Studio Manager position. As you demonstrate ownership, leadership, execution, and results, you'll take on increasing responsibility across coaching, team development, studio operations, member retention, and business performance.
We don't hire people to maintain the status quo. We hire people who take ownership, execute, and raise the standard.
