Med/Surg & Emergency Department Technician
Location: Fall River Health Services – Hot Springs, SD
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends

Fall River Health Services is seeking a Med/Surg & Emergency Department Technician to support our nursing and provider teams in delivering exceptional care to patients in both the Medical/Surgical and Emergency Departments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CNA or EMT looking to expand their skills while making a meaningful difference every day.
What You'll Do
- Assist nurses and providers with patient care and treatment.
- Obtain and document vital signs and report changes in patient condition.
- Apply cardiac monitoring and perform 12-lead EKGs.
- Assist with patient positioning, orthopedic dressings, and splints.
- Prepare patient rooms by cleaning, stocking supplies, and changing linens.
- Support patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and other clerical tasks within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Schedule American Heart Association courses.
- Perform duties within the scope of practice for CNA or EMT licensure.
- Help create a safe, compassionate, and positive experience for every patient.
The average Salary for this position is $18.00- $20.00 an hour. Pay can be higher with more than 5 years of experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clinical experience preferred; Emergency Department experience is a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) licensure preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment.
