POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is a motivated and organized Lead Operational Technician that supports both clinical service delivery and the day-to-day operations of our ABA clinic. This role is ideal for an experienced Behavior Technician who enjoys leadership, problem-solving, and helping teams run smoothly.
The Lead Operational Technician maintains a reduced clinical caseload while taking on key operational responsibilities including staff hiring support, scheduling coordination, and managing daily staffing needs. This position plays an important role in ensuring consistent services for clients and strong support for clinical staff.
Position Assignments
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Client Services
- Provide direct ABA therapy services to clients while maintaining a minimum of 75 billable hours per month.
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by supervising
BCBAs and LBSs.
- Collect accurate behavioral data and complete session documentation in
accordance with clinic standards.
ABA Team Leadership
- Serve as a member of assigned off site teams and through scheduling, ensure that all contracted hours are met each month
- Act as a point of contact for technicians regarding scheduling questions,
changes, and operational needs.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive, and professional team environment.
- Attend weekly leadership team meetings
Staffing & Hiring
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of Behavior
Health Technicians and other identified team members.
- Support the onboarding process for newly hired staff - answering questions, mentoring and demonstrating needed competencies
- Provide new hire training as assigned
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure adequate technician coverage for all
clients.
Scheduling & Operations
- Develop and manage the monthly schedule for both clients and staff.
- Monitor and adjust schedules to ensure continuity of care and efficient
staffing.
- Manage staff call-offs and coordinate coverage solutions.
- Communicate schedule updates and changes clearly and promptly to
staff.
- Assist with last-minute coverage for staff call-offs when necessary.
General Assignments
- Record time and attendance via HRIS and Timekeeping system
- Attend meetings/training as requested/required
- Model the organization's mission and values
- Provides outstanding customer service to participants, families, and stakeholders
- Develop and maintains a positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Adhere to Familylinks and regulatory PA IBHS policies and procedures
- Create monthly reports regarding assigned and provided hours of service
- Assist with he preparation and participation in the annual IBHS licensing review
- Participate in the review and data collection of all compliance and quality measures and reporting
- Travel to other session and meeting locations as assigned
Education & Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred (or
willingness to obtain).
- 1-2+ years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or working
with individuals with autism.
- Experience supporting team coordination, scheduling, or mentoring staff
preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Working knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated respect for confidentiality and compliance standards
- Demonstrated unwavering customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels as well as external stakeholders
Training Requirements
- Training in EHR system
- Complete and Maintain Safety Care Train the Trainer certification within 6 months of hire date
Working Conditions
- This position works in the FamilyLinks office /community/ hybrid during hours of operation as assigned

- Ability to relay authorizations and billing procedures in an easy-to-understand manner
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
