Compensation: The salary range for this position is estimated to be $60,265.00 – $112,400.00 annualized, which reflects the company’s current estimate of the potential compensation range at the time of posting. This salary range reflects the anticipated compensation for this position and represents one component of the total rewards package. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, qualifications, and allotted budget. About Our Opportunity
The Commercial Loan Operations Specialist, known internally as Portfolio Representative- Originated, is responsible for retaining and increasing the Association’s Food and Agribusiness portfolio with new and existing loan transactions and creating a world class customer experience for internal and external customers. The Portfolio Representative- Originated manages a portfolio of complex originated loan transactions, including those involving multi-bank syndications. This role proactively oversees an assigned portfolio where Farm Credit Mid America serves as the lead lender, all while adapting to continuously evolving priorities and deadlines, and monitoring and completing loan transactions.
How You Will Spend Your Time
- Manages an assigned portfolio of originated loans, including complex and multi bank syndicated transactions, supporting portfolio performance and customer relationships.
- Processes loan transactions and servicing activities, including new loans, modifications, and renewals, to support timely and accurate execution.
- Prepares, reviews, and validates complex loan documentation and terms, including master participation agreements, allocations, participation certificates, and other appropriate documentation.
- Approves actions under delegated authority, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintains loan compliance and operational accuracy by managing required control reports and adhering to Association policies and procedures for large dollar transactions.
- Represents the Association externally, participating in industry events and customer visits with sales and credit partners, supporting relationship management efforts.
- Manages assigned work with minimal direction delivering a high degree of accuracy, quality and timely completion.
- Applies functional knowledge and judgment to evaluate information and make informed decisions.
- Anticipates needs, manages competing priorities, and proactively communicates status or risks.
- Supports process improvements by identifying gaps and recommending practical solutions.
- Collaborates effectively across teams to advance shared goals and business outcomes.
- Serves as a resource to less experienced team members through informal guidance.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma/GED with 7 years relevant experience required.
- Bachelor's degree with 3 years relevant experience preferred.

Standing or walking is frequently required, while occasional demands include reaching with hands and arms, and lifting or moving up to ten pounds. Vision requirements encompass close and distance vision. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
