Foundry is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Director of Operations to oversee and scale our decentralized infrastructure operations. In this pivotal leadership role, you will manage day-to-day operational execution across our core business units, including digital asset mining services (Foundry USA Pool), institutional staking infrastructure, and cryptocurrency hardware logistics.
The ideal candidate has a deep passion for the Web3/crypto ecosystem, exceptional experience managing complex technical or financial supply chains, and a proven track record of scaling operations within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Drive the strategic planning and daily execution of global operations, ensuring maximum uptime, efficiency, and transparency for our institutional mining and staking products.
- Supply Chain & Logistics Management: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of institutional mining hardware (ASIC), including global procurement, customs clearance, vendor management, and deployment across North American data centers.
- Infrastructure Optimization: Collaborate with engineering and energy strategy teams to monitor and optimize hashrate delivery, mining pool operations, and power curtailment strategies.
- Process Improvement: Establish, monitor, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational workflows to scale business units efficiently while minimizing risk.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Executive Leadership, Finance, Legal/Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure alignment on corporate goals and regulatory requirements in the digital asset space.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of operational management experience, preferably in FinTech, Web3/Crypto, Data Center Infrastructure, or high-tech logistics.
- Crypto Expertise: Strong foundational understanding of Proof-of-Work (PoW) mining, Proof-of-Stake (PoS) protocols, and the broader digital asset market dynamics.
- Leadership Track Record: Proven experience leading and scaling multi-disciplinary operational teams and managing multi-million dollar asset portfolios or supply chains.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical capabilities, data-driven decision-making, and proficiency with advanced data/operations management tools. Excellent executive communication skills.
