About the Role
Galileo is looking for a culturally sensitive Family Medicine Physician to join our primary care medical group. As a part of our collaborative clinical care team, you will leverage data, technology, and operational rigor to optimize great patient outcomes while offering highly personalized care and shared decision making with patients.
This is an in office role, supporting our clinic in Starbase, TX. Our clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm CST, with future plans to be open until 8pm CST.
Here's what you'll do:
- Act as a key PCP for our patient population, delivering care in the clinic and digitally
- Provide primary care across the full scope of preventive health, chronic disease management, urgent care, and pediatrics.
- Collaborate and partner across care team members including behavioral health, virtual urgent care and triage, and clinical subspecialists
- Educate patients on their health conditions and develop individualized care and treatment plans
- Solve patient problems in an efficient, nimble manner by drawing on resourcefulness, collaborating with team members to leverage their expertise, and a "can-do" approach
About You
You are a Family Medicine Physician with extensive clinical experience. You are comfortable with complex clinical and social needs and eager to care for patients in a modern, technology-enabled practice. You are driven to create systems that enable personalized, empathetic care for individuals and families in the community, and you are eager to find a practice that supports approaching patient care in ways that make a meaningful, real impact on their lives.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following or equivalent experience:
- 5+ years of clinical experience in chronic care and primary care for all ages
- Comfort with basic procedural skills
- Active board certification in Family Medicine with comfort seeing Pediatric patients.
- Active licensure in Texas or ability to obtain license by start date with Galileo
- Strong communication skills, especially the ability to translate complex ideas into simple language
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Physical Requirements: The employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without reasonable accommodation(s):
- This position requires the ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds
- The job involves frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling to perform various tasks
Compensation: This is a salaried position (0.8 FTE) with annualized salary of $280,000.
