Summary of Responsibilities: This position is envisioned as a half-time administrative role as the Dean of Graduate & Online Programs that can be combined with any current or new faculty position to create a full-time position. This individual will report directly to the Provost with secondary reporting responsibilities to the Department Chair of their discipline. The candidate will have oversight of current and future graduate and online programs, providing significant administrative support for the Graduate Counseling program in particular. The instructional load will be assigned by the Department Chair of the candidate’s discipline.
Essential Responsibilities: (These essential responsibilities are those the individual must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation.)

Academic Leadership – Selected candidates will be expected to:
- Supervise the directors of the graduate programs and the director of online programs.
- Serve on the Academic Strategic Planning Committee and the Graduate and Adult Program Committee.
- Oversee the budgets for graduate and online programs.
- Understand program-level accreditation (e.g. CACREP) and work with directors to maintain quality programs that meet accreditation standards.
- Provide leadership to the exploration, evaluation and implementation of new adult and online programs.
- Collaborate with the Director of Graduate and Online Enrollment to develop external relationships with colleges, businesses, and alumni to advance Geneva programs.
- Oversee academic policies, procedures and systems for graduate and online programs. (e.g. Graduate Handbooks)
- Oversee the College Institutional Review Board (IRB) process.

Minimum:
- Education/Certification: Candidate must have obtained a doctorate from an accredited U.S. college/university or international equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of higher education experience. Experience serving on academic or institutional committees and contributing to strategic planning processes.
- Skill/Abilities: Ability to interpret, implement, and oversee academic policies, procedures, and institutional handbooks, Basic understanding of higher education program-level accreditation processes and standards (e.g., CACREP) to ensure compliance and program quality, Ability to research, explore, and evaluate the feasibility of new adult, graduate, and online program implementation, Demonstrated capacity to reason, analyze, prioritize, conceptualize, make sound judgments, and solve complex problems.
- Christian Commitment: An eligible candidate must be a thoughtful and articulate Christian and an active member of a Protestant evangelical Christian church. Preference will be given to the candidate who supports and has an articulate understanding of the Reformed faith. An eligible candidate must understand and support the College’s “Foundational Concepts of Christian Education” by expressing an evangelical Christian profession of faith and demonstrate the ability to integrate a Christian perspective in their work.

- Education/Certification: a doctorate, with specific coursework in a field related to a current Geneva graduate program.
- Experience: Previous experience in academic administration.
- Skill/Abilities: Proven ability to supervise, evaluate, and support academic directors or professional staff, Demonstrated competence in developing, overseeing, and allocating multi-program or departmental budgets, Familiarity with institutional research compliance and the ability to oversee Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes.
