JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving the growth of the company by developing new business opportunities and building and expanding the presence of the company and its brands. This role involves research, analysis, strategy development, and implementation, along with relationship management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Identifies and pursues new business opportunities in targeted markets.
- Develops and implements effective business development strategies.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
- Conducts market research and analysis to understand industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Collaborates with sales and marketing teams to implement business development initiatives.
- Attends industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to represent the company and generate leads.
- Negotiates and closes business deals that promote sustained revenue.
- Develops business proposals for new and existing customers.
- May be required to meet with clients, attend industry events, or visit potential business locations.
- Provides insightful feedback from clients and prospects to internal teams.
- Prepares and present regular reports on progress and forecasts to internal stakeholders.
- Manages relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Provides regular updates to senior management, including status reports and progress updates.
- Ensures all documentation is completed and maintained accurately.
- Stays up to date with the latest developments in the industry.
- Provides recommendations to strategically enhance performance and business opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to manage budgets, expenses, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite and CRM or similar programs.

- Ability to identify issues, address them and provide effective solutions.
- Skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to maintain compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changes and handle them with professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of conversations, data records, files, and other vital information.
- Ability to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines.
- Careful planning, multitasking, and excellent time management skills are critical.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related required.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Valid driver license and a clean driving record.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three years’ experience as a Business Development Rep or similar role in sales or marketing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
