GiGi's Playhouse Phoenix, a 501(c)(3) achievement center for individuals with Down syndrome, is hiring a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) for Wednesdays and Saturdays for Fall 2026 (September 7–December 20, 2026).
Potential for ongoing opportunities beyond the Fall session based on mutual fit and program needs.
This role is part of our 15-week Amina Grace 1:1 Speech & Language Program, which provides speech therapy services at no cost to families of children, teens, and adults with Down syndrome.
Sessions are held in the Resource Center at the William L. Patena Community Center in Peoria through our partnership with the City of Peoria.
**Days/Caseload**
- Saturdays: 6-7 students (Community Center is open 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturdays)
**What This Role Offers**
- Meaningful work helping individuals with Down syndrome achieve their communication goals
- No formal evaluations, insurance billing, authorizations, or productivity requirements
- Fun, welcoming setting in a beautiful Playhouse environment
- Wide variety of ages (infants through older adults), communication profiles, and highly engaged families
- Streamlined documentation and strong administrative support
- Opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team of speech therapists passionate about serving the Down syndrome community
**Compensation**
- 1099 position | SLP rate $50–$60/hour depending on experience
- Last-minute cancellations and no-shows paid at full rate
- 5 hours of paid training/onboarding at full rate
~ Experience with early intervention, AAC, and/or individuals with Down syndrome is a plus, but not required. ~
