Who is this role for?
This role will lead the creation of a new digital education and coaching experience that is mass personalized for our members. This role will take this initiative from ideation to design to rollout. Overview of Education & Health Team:
Grameen America delivers its microfinance programs through a national network of branches comprised of front-line field service personnel. The Education & Health team helps accelerate the financial mobility of our entrepreneurs through a two-pronged approach. Firstly, our team of field educators educate our members across multiple topics on a regular cadence through live channels. We also help our members navigate the health, social and financial system to meet their needs. Second, we are investing in our custom mobile app that can deliver technical assistance and education through personalized pathways by leveraging the power of AI and innovative digital education models.
The Senior Program Manager will play a key role in helping shape new offering. They will lead a cross-functional “pod”, conduct discovery and market assessment, work closely with the product and tech teams to design and build the product, manage content strategy, and be responsible for member engagement and continuous improvement. This person must be comfortable with building a digital offering from scratch, familiar with AI and emerging technologies, and be eager to build an innovative model of highly engaging digital adult education.
Job Responsibilities:
Discovery & Design:
- Lead discovery with members and stakeholders to identify the relevant delivery model of an effective and impactful education program for our entrepreneur members. This includes researching various models, conducting a member-needs assessment, and proposing the model of coaching/education/leaning/navigation.
- Design the criteria, methodology and pathways for segmentation and personalization.
- Design gamified and engaging offerings to ensure high usage.
- Own the short, medium, and long-term roadmap for the mass personalized digital education program, prioritizing features that drive member engagement and business growth.
- Collaborate closely with the field educators, product and engineering teams, program strategy team to design, pilot and launch the digital education offering, ensuring alignment with member needs and organizational goals.
- Translate feedback and insights into actionable requirements, guiding the development of MVP features and iterating based on user experience.
- Launch the offering and lead the go-to-market strategy.
Content Strategy & Ongoing Program Leadership:
- Continue to build out and expand the program post-launch. This is an ever-evolving and ever-improving offering so keep updating pathways, models, content, etc. based on continuous member feedback and impact metrics.
- Manage content and create content where necessary. Work with partners and vendors to create content that is relevant and friendly for our members.
- Serve as a partner and advocate for members, supporting their journey and business growth within the Grameen network.
Secondary Channels & Partnership Management:
- Manage secondary channels that complement our main two education & health delivery channels. These include online workshops, special events, social media, newsletters, in-person offerings, referral opportunities etc.
- Help identify and cultivate partnerships for engagement with secondary channels.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. We’re a collaborative team, and sometimes that means stepping outside your usual scope to help with projects or priorities that advance our mission. These “other duties as assigned” are part of how we adapt, innovate, and support one another. As such, additional duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned as needed to meet team and organizational goals.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business/economics/technology or related fields.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in digital education in adult or other context and/or learning management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Project Management tools, design tools.
- Analytical skills: ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills including written and oral.
- Organized, responsive and comfortable in managing a wide range of tasks. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and support the development of inclusive, culturally relevant educational content is highly valued.
- Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
In- Person and Travel Requirements:
- Travel to field locations to conduct primary research and implementation training.
- Attend required in-person meetings in New York City.
- Hybrid work arrangement required in the New York City office.
