Position Summary:

This position is fully onsite, five days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting and financial operations for the company and affiliated entities.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Supervise and support the accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial reporting processes.
- Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure accurate job costing, project accounting, and revenue recognition.
- Partner with ownership and executive leadership to provide financial insights and operational support.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other financial partners.
- Monitor compliance with all federal, state, and local tax and reporting requirements.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Construction industry experience is required.
- Demolition, heavy civil, specialty contracting, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of:
- Construction accounting.
- Job costing.
- Work-in-progress (WIP) schedules.
- Financial statement preparation.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Cash flow management.
- Experience managing accounting staff and day-to-day accounting operations.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; experience with MQ is a plus.
- Experience overseeing payroll operations; familiarity with payroll system implementations is beneficial.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
Compensation: $160,000 - $175,000.
