Are you looking to join a collaborative team with wrap around services to care for the most vulnerable in our community? Greater Portland Health is looking for a Family Medicine or Med/Peds physician to join our care team at our 295 Park Avenue location in Portland as a lead provider. This position provides primary care to patients of all ages from a variety of cultural backgrounds. The lead provider role also supports clinical quality improvement projects, clinical mentorship and works closely with practice operations on workflows.
Hours: 32 to 40 hours a week. Full time. Call by phone only with triage nursing support (3-4 weeks a year). Limited Saturday hours (Saturday morning 4 hour shift 3-4 times a year)
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Med/Peds
- Graduate of an accredited MD or DP program with a Maine State license to practice medicine and have a valid DEA number required.
- Be able to be credentialed at assigned hospitals and contractible on Greater Portland Health insurance plans.
- Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs.
