The Basics of a Quality Assurance Specialist I
- Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite during training; hybrid schedule determined with manager after successful onboarding)
- Location: 12544 Riata Vista Circle, Austin, TX 78727
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours with occasional flexibility based on business needs.
What you'll do as a Quality Assurance Specialist I
In this role, you'll play a critical part in delivering a seamless lending experience by ensuring consumer loan documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help expedite the lending process while providing exceptional service to our members and internal partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loan Documentation & Quality Assurance: Prepare, review, and process consumer loan documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Member & Internal Support: Provide exceptional service by answering questions and supporting members, vendors, and internal departments through multiple communication channels.
- Loan Processing: Manage an assigned loan queue efficiently while consistently meeting departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Collateral Administration: Ensure liens are properly perfected and released on all collateralized loans while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Loan Operations Support: Assist Loan Officers by gathering member information, entering loan data, processing title work, resolving incomplete files, and handling paid loan documentation.
- Compliance: Obtain Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) certification (for applicable Real Estate Lending roles) within three months of hire. Maintain compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Member Due Diligence procedures, and complete all required compliance and professional development training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification
