As our Director of People Operations, you will oversee all HR functions, including staffing, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and organizational development. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive, safe, and compliant workplace environment that supports our mission to serve youth and families in our residential programs.

- Lead all HR functions including staffing, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, performance evaluations, compliance, and training.
- Oversee payroll processing and related actions.
- Ensure maintenance and safety of the Colorado Springs campus facilities.
- Maintain compliance with accreditation standards (COA) and legal regulations.
- Manage unemployment, workers’ compensation, and benefits programs.
- Develop and implement effective staffing and onboarding processes.
- Guide managers on employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and documentation.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure legal and organizational compliance.
- Administer employee benefits, including open enrollment.
- Oversee background checks, child abuse registry, fingerprinting, and credential verification.
- Supervise onboarding and ongoing staff professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of HR management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Leadership and managerial skills
- Prior experience in non-profit organizations is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing payroll and employee benefits programs
- Valid Colorado driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with a clean motor vehicle record.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for childcare facilities. This screening includes initial and ongoing state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the employee has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted. In addition, employees are required to complete a health evaluation or physical examination prior to beginning service to confirm fitness for duty, and annually thereafter.
