- Negotiates contracts and develops policies with suppliers, subcontractors, and professional service providers.
- Negotiates commercial terms and conditions with vendors, service providers, and subcontractors to minimize risk and ensure commercial competitiveness.
- Manages and develops procurement personnel.
- Collaborates with engineering and estimating to establish proper cost of materials, equipment, subcontracts, and professional services.
- Identifies, assesses, and qualifies vendor materials and equipment, subcontractors, and professional service providers.
- Continually assesses performance and quality of vendor materials and equipment, subcontractors, and professional service providers.
- Processes requisitions and prepares purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
- Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement policies and procedures.
- Ensures maintenance of procurement records.
- Provides analysis of market and delivery systems to understand present and future material availability.
- Resolves vendor or contractor grievances and claims.
- Ensures purchase order/subcontractor claims and contracts are in alignment with H+M company policy.
- Provides guidance and oversight for administration of online purchasing systems.
- Communicates and provides training on purchasing policies & procedures with project teams; enforces policy alignment while maintaining internal customer service.
- Responsible for projections, financial planning, expediting, delivery schedules, and project purchasing reporting.
- Oversees the development and review of all procurement analytics, reporting, and deliverables.

- Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, engineering, supply chain management, or a related field; or 12 years of relevant procurement experience in lieu of degree, with exhibited success in an EPC environment.
- Understanding of cross-departmental coordination.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize.
- Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Microsoft Project, Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.

- Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Sit for long periods of time
- Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
