About Haakon
Haakon is an established industrial manufacturer known for quality, reliability, and long-term stability. We build real equipment, solve real problems, and take pride in the work we do.
Our culture is built on accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and ownership. We offer consistent full-time work, a team-oriented environment, and the opportunity to develop skills across a wide range of industrial systems.
If you're looking for a long-term career where you can build your skills and make an impact every day, we'd like to hear from you.
About the Role
We are hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support equipment uptime during our night shift manufacturing operations.
You will work across a variety of systems including presses, CNC equipment, conveyors, HVAC equipment, sheet metal machinery, and overhead cranes. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, mechanical problem-solving, and the ability to respond when production depends on you.
This is not a slow-paced or predictable role. Equipment issues happen, priorities shift, and you are expected to think, adapt, and respond.
What You Will Do
- Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues across multiple systems in a live production environment
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore production safely and efficiently
- Work with motors, bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, and related mechanical components
- Assist with rigging, lifting, and installation using cranes, hoists, and other equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment as needed
- Support equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout requirements
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Document work performed and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors
Some nights are focused on preventive maintenance and planned projects. Other nights require diagnosing and repairing equipment while production is waiting.
The work is hands-on, varied, and requires focus, urgency, and ownership. Every shift presents new challenges, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems and working with industrial equipment.
Who Succeeds Here
People who succeed in this role are comfortable in industrial environments and don't panic when equipment goes down.
They think through problems, work safely under pressure, and take ownership of finding solutions. They enjoy learning new systems, adapting to changing priorities, and take pride in keeping production running.
This role is not a fit for someone looking for routine work with the same tasks every day.
