Graduate Civil Engineer II, Water/Wastewater EIT
Halff is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer II, Water/Wastewater EIT for our Water & Wastewater Utilities team in our Houston or The Woodlands, TX offices. The position will be for a General Civil Engineer interested in Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process design and construction. What you will do:
- Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer
- Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction
- Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water & Wastewater projects
- Perform drafting CAD work
- Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
- Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
- Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree (preferably in Civil or Environmental Engineering).
- 1 - 4 years of experience in Water & Wastewater Utility projects and Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Design.
- Have a current Texas EIT license or the ability to obtain within 2 years of employment.
- Must have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or plan on obtaining within six months of start date.
- Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
- Desired experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater.
- Great communication skills.
- Solid relationship and team building skills.
- Self-motivated and strong organization skills.
