Hallway Healthcare provides 1:1 in-home nursing care to retired Nuclear and Federal Workers that have received benefits through EEOICPA or FECA. These are the workers who have retired from Department of Energy facilities such Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Sandia National Lab Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Stanford Linear, etc. We also serve Federal Workers such as US Postal Workers.
We offer flexible schedules, competitive pay, and 24/7 available support.
Unlike many home health agencies that require multiple short visits per shift, Hallway Healthcare typically assigns you to one patient per shift, allowing for more focused, consistent, and meaningful care.

Teaching and Training Activities
Required Education, License and Certification:
Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current California RN/LVN License
Current BLS Certificate
Valid Drivers License
Demonstrate effective teamwork and collaboration with staff members.- Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
- Support and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform nursing procedures in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Work under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse (RN).
- Monitor patient reactions and progress through observation, assessment, and evaluation.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Educate patients and their families about disease processes, medications, plans of care, treatment options, and home care procedures as outlined in the plan of care.
- Report any adverse findings or concerns to the physician and RN promptly.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, feeding and light housekeeping.
- Transport patients to doctors appointments, grocery stores or pharmacies.
- Comply with all applicable state regulations.
- Coordinate and monitor patient care services to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy both in and out of the patient's home.
- Follow infection control policies rigorously in all settings.
- Document skilled visits accurately and in accordance with established guidelines. Documentation must be completed by the end of each shift. If unable to complete the Case Manager must be notified.
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date patient records in line with agency policies.
LOCATION: San Jose, CA
Available Shifts: Monday-Sunday, 8 hours a day
Full-time, Part-time and Per diem available
Base Pay: $32.00-$40.00/hr
We offer $5 per hour shift differentials for 8 hour shifts.
We offer $10 per hour shift differentials for shifts 8 hours or less.

Employee works in a home setting sometimes with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, they may have direct exposure to hazardous substances. The role involves managing challenging interactions with staff, public officials and private representatives while interpreting and implementing departmental policies and procedures.
Employee will have to travel to a variety of patient homes and perform in conditions that vary greatly depending upon the client’s home environment. Some homes will be clean, neat, and maintained at a comfortable temperature. Other homes may be cluttered, dirty, with an uncomfortable temperature.
