- Serve as lead faculty for aging adult physical therapy coursework within the DPT curriculum.
- Serve as lead faculty for cardiopulmonary physical therapy coursework within the DPT curriculum.
- Develop, deliver, assess, and continuously improve courses, laboratory experiences, simulations, and assessments.
- Support integration of healthy aging, chronic disease management, wellness, prevention, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation concepts throughout the curriculum.
- Support Hanover College's innovative hybrid educational model through excellence in online instruction, synchronous engagement, and immersive laboratory experiences.
- Serve as academic advisor, mentor, and coach to support student learning, professional development, and success.
- Collaborate with faculty to evaluate program outcomes and utilize assessment data to improve curriculum quality and student achievement.
- Participate in CAPTE accreditation activities, program assessment initiatives, and continuous quality improvement processes.
- Maintain scholarly activity consistent with faculty rank and workload expectations.
- Participate in program, college, professional, and community service activities.
- Contribute to admissions, recruitment, orientation, and student success initiatives.
- Travel to onsite laboratory immersions and participate in program-related activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT/tDPT) or earned terminal academic doctorate in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities
- Current ABPTS Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) certification (required)
- Minimum of three years of contemporary clinical practice in geriatric physical therapy and/or cardiopulmonary physical therapy
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, student success, and inclusive educational practices
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders
- Licensed or eligible for physical therapist licensure in Indiana
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic doctorate (PhD, EdD, DHSc, DSc, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching within a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist education program
- Experience with hybrid, online, or accelerated educational models
- Experience with curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation activities
- Evidence of scholarly productivity related to geriatrics, cardiopulmonary physical therapy, healthcare education, or related areas
- Experience with simulation-based education, interprofessional education, shared teaching responsibilities, clinical education, or integrated case-based instruction
