What You’ll Do
Tax Compliance & Preparation
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for partnerships, S-corporations, individuals, and trusts.
- Ensure all returns comply with current tax laws and regulations.
- Resolve IRS and state agency audits, inquiries, and tax notices.
- Conduct technical tax research and draft memoranda on complex tax issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and evaluate its impact on our clients
- Develop, motivate, and train junior staff and managers.
- Delegate projects and manage workflow to maximize efficiency and quality.
- Foster a collaborative team culture.
- Train staff on new processes, software, and regulatory changes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, being a trusted advisor.
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred)
- CPA designation strongly preferred (alternative Enrolled Agent designation)
- 8 or more years of experience in public accounting, with demonstrated expertise in partnerships, S-corporations, individual and trust tax compliance.
- Supervisory and leadership experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of U.S. tax regulations and compliance.
- Strong sense of urgency, adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness
- Proficiency in CCH Tax
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and client service orientation.
- Coverage on the first day of employment for medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid parental leave (16 weeks for primary caregiver and 8 weeks for secondary caregiver)
