ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.
The essential functions include:
Conduct school-based individual, conjoint, and group family therapy sessions under supervision of a clinical supervisor
Documents therapy based upon DMH regulations other funding sources documentation requirements
Attends training sessions & staff meetings with program/clinical supervisors
Responsible for assessment of services and high risk behaviors, treatment, & follow-up
Directly implements program protocols & guarantees that procedures are consistent with protocols
Other duties as required
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATES
Masters degreed in a Social Service related field, required
Registered with the BBS and has a BBS number, required
Bilingual in Spanish required
Previous experience working with severely and emotionally disturbed children and/or experience working in a school based setting, preferred
Valid California drivers license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides' insurance carrier
TRAUMA INFORMED CARE (TIC)
Hillsides practices Trauma Informed Care (TIC) principles which recognizes the signs, symptoms, and widespread impact of trauma; Employees are asked to comprehensively integrate knowledge of Trauma Informed Care into policies, procedures, and practices with the goal to prevent re-traumatization which promotes healing of families, youth, individuals, and communities.
