Senior Electrical Project Engineer – Electrical Systems for Buildings
Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer with deep experience designing electrical systems for large industrial and commercial facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative, integrated team of architects, engineers, and project managers, delivering complex, high-profile projects with construction values of up to $500 million for some of the most recognizable brands in the industry. In this key leadership role, you will apply advanced technical design expertise, engineering judgment, and problem-solving skills, while also mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Position Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Electrical Engineering, this role will:
- Lead electrical engineering and design teams in the preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications
- Design and oversee lighting and lighting control systems
- Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems
- Specify materials, methods, and electrical components
- Develop and integrate control systems for mechanical and refrigeration systems
- Collaborate proactively with multi-disciplinary design teams across architecture and engineering
- Support project execution from concept through construction
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
- 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for large industrial and commercial buildings + A/E consulting experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to independently produce complete construction documents
- Strong leadership presence with excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
- Demonstrated work ethic and commitment to high-quality engineering solutions
