Summary:

Humango Solutions is seeking a motivated, part-time Junior Security Analyst to support day-to-day cybersecurity, security monitoring, and compliance activities within our internal environment.

This role is well suited for someone with an interest in cybersecurity, cloud security, endpoint management, Microsoft 365 security, and security operations. The Junior Security Analyst will assist with reviewing security dashboards, monitoring alerts, checking device compliance, reviewing vulnerability information, documenting potential issues, and supporting efforts to strengthen Humango’s overall security posture.

Location:

• Fully remote with flexible hours
• Part-time role, 10 hours per week
• Some availability during normal business hours may be needed for team meetings, training, and operational support activities

Qualifications:

• Zero to three years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, information technology, help desk support, systems administration, cloud technology, or a related technical field
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree, certification program, technical training program, or equivalent hands-on learning in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, security monitoring, endpoint protection, cloud-based security tools, and security operations concepts
• Ability to review security dashboards, alerts, logs, reports, and other information for potential issues
• Basic understanding of endpoint compliance, device management, patching, vulnerability management, and account security
• Familiarity with email security concepts, including phishing, spam, malware, and quarantined messages
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to document findings, actions taken, technical processes, and recommendations clearly
• Ability to follow defined procedures, recognize when an issue should be escalated, and work responsibly with sensitive internal information
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Willingness to follow internal security, privacy, acceptable-use, and data-handling standards

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Intune, or related Microsoft security and compliance tools
• Experience reviewing security alerts, quarantined emails, endpoint compliance, or vulnerability findings
• Exposure to creating or updating security, compliance, or device management policies
• Experience working in a small business, government contractor, or compliance-focused environment
• Familiarity with basic security frameworks, compliance requirements, or security documentation is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review security alerts, dashboards, and reports for potential issues
• Monitor quarantined emails and assist with identifying suspicious or potentially malicious messages
• Review endpoint and device compliance status
• Assist with tracking device compliance issues, missing updates, configuration concerns, and endpoint security findings
• Review vulnerability information and help document potential remediation actions
• Assist with creating, updating, and testing security policies in Microsoft 365, Defender, Entra ID, Intune, or related tools under guidance from Humango leadership
• Support routine review of user, device, and security configuration settings
• Document security findings, follow-up actions, and recurring issues
• Escalate potential incidents, vulnerabilities, or compliance concerns to appropriate Humango leadership
• Assist with maintaining evidence and documentation to support internal security and compliance activities
• Collaborate with IT, security, and operations teams to support secure day-to-day operations
