Job Description Summary
The Director of Digital Operations and Systems is a senior leadership role responsible for the full lifecycle of Baer Manufacturing's digital infrastructure — from ERP/MRP investigation, selection, and implementation to the integration, optimization, and governance of all operational technology systems. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing and works cross-functionally across Production, VDC, ACP, Business Development, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, and IT.This is not a maintenance role. This is a transformation role — and the right candidate will leave an indelible mark on Baer's ability to scale, serve customers, and empower its people.
Job Description:
Role & Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and lead selection of a new ERP/MRP system
- Lead full-cycle ERP/MRP/MES implementation across Production, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, and ACP
- ERP user adoption post-go-live
- Eliminate manual processes through digital workflow automation
- Build and maintain executive SQDIP dashboards (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity) using Qlik and integrated data sources
- Integrate Baer's current technology stack into a cohesive data ecosystem
- Standardize naming conventions and historical data across all platforms
- Ensure system uptime and reliability across all critical digital platforms
- Manage technology vendors and implementation partners
- Develop and enforce digital communication SLAs
- Lead cross-functional digital improvement initiatives aligned with lean deployment goals
- Support Baer's revenue scalability through digital infrastructure capable of handling growth
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Engineering (required); master’s degree or MBA (preferred)
- ERP platform certifications (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, or equivalent) strongly preferred
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification — preferred
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt — preferred
- Qlik, Power BI, or equivalent BI certification — preferred
- Managed a complex multi-system technology stack in a high-growth manufacturing, construction, or prefabrication company
- Built executive BI dashboards using Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent that drove measurable operational improvements
- Eliminated manual processes through automation in an environment with mixed office/floor workforces
- Managed external technology vendors and implementation partners with accountability to cost and timeline
- Operated in a fast-growth, scaling environment (ideally revenue growth of 50%+ year-over-year)
- Experience in electrical construction, prefabrication, manufacturing, or modular construction is highly preferred

Pay Range:
$143,360.00 - $184,320.00Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
