As an IDEXX BioAnalytics Laboratory Liaison, you will be a key contributor at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world. You will act as a liaison between internal and external customers. You will be responsible for accessioning and preparing cases for lab processing, resolving case discrepancies, answering customer questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction. And, you will be part of a crew where teamwork is important. This is a full-time role with competitive benefits.

IDEXX BioAnalytics, Inc., a division of IDEXX Laboratories, Inc., is a leader in diagnostic testing for both the biomedical and life science markets. The laboratory is based in Columbia, Missouri, and employs approximately 60 people.
In this role:
You can expect to specialize in the following areas:
You will accession cases and ensure accurate testing entered, including catching and correcting errors on client submission forms
You will set up test, barcode, and service combinations correctly, including client-specific combination rules and exceptions to standard SOPs
You will receive and sort sample specimens
You will distribute samples to labs for processing
You will provide excellent customer support
You will resolve case/sample issues
You will archive resulted case paperwork
You will fulfill supply shipments
What You Need to Succeed:
You have exceptional attention to detail. This is the most critical skill for this role — you'll need to catch inconsistencies on client submission forms, correctly combine tests/barcodes/services under specific combination rules, and keep track of the many client-specific exceptions to our SOPs (we accept more sample types and accommodate more client requests than most labs).
You possess a Bachelor's or Associate's degree, in a scientific discipline or business preferred.
You have at least 2 years’ of laboratory and/or administrative experience preferred.
You have high quality customer-facing interpersonal skills with an ability to maintain good customer relationships.
You’re organized with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
You have clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to communicate complex issues in a professional, positive, friendly, and understandable manner.
You can leverage reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues and have the ability to learn quickly and apply skills and abilities to a variety of interactions.
You’re positive, can-do attitude makes easy transition to work independently and as part of a team.
You have good computer skills and knowledge including Microsoft Office and are able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as appropriate.
You are able to meet the physical requirements that go with working in a normal office and laboratory environment – standing and sitting for extended periods of time, phone & computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50lb, and specific vision ability – close, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This role may require personal protective equipment when potential biohazards are present.

Schedule:
This is a full-time day shift position with hours Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position, and adherence to attendance-related policies and expectations is critical.
Extended hours may be required.
