JOB DESCRIPTION: National Sales Manager / Pukka
Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
Summary
Paramount Brands Apparel is seeking a National Sales Manager to lead sales execution for the Pukka brand. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth across Pukka's Team Dealer business while overseeing sales efforts for all other non-golf or action sports customer segments, including promotional products, corporate sales, retail, licensing, and other strategic markets.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the National Sales Manager will lead the day-to-day sales organization, develop and support both inside sales representatives and independent sales representatives, manage key customer relationships, and execute commercial initiatives that expand market share and deliver sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with experience in decorated apparel, headwear, promotional products, or team sports who thrives on building customer relationships, coaching sales teams, and executing against ambitious sales objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day sales efforts for the Pukka brand across Team Dealer and all non-golf or action sports customer segments.
- Develop a defined Go-To-Market strategy designed to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
- Establish sales goals, monitor performance, and hold the sales organization accountable for results.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts while developing new business across target markets.
Team Dealer Business Development
- Drive growth within the Team Dealer channel through distributor partnerships, strategic account development, and independent sales representatives.
- Expand Pukka's presence with dealers, schools, athletic organizations, and team distributors.
- Execute sales initiatives that strengthen customer retention and increase market penetration.
General Market Sales
- Lead sales efforts across promotional products, corporate, retail, licensing, e-commerce, and other non-golf customer segments.
- Identify new customer opportunities and expand existing relationships to increase revenue.
- Collaborate with marketing on programs that support lead generation and customer acquisition.
Sales Team & Representative Management
- Recruit, develop, coach, and manage independent sales representatives and inside sales personnel.
- Conduct regular business reviews, establish performance expectations, and provide ongoing coaching.
- Optimize territory coverage and ensure effective customer support across all regions.
Key Account Management
- Develop strong relationships with strategic customers and channel partners.
- Lead customer meetings, contract discussions, and annual business reviews.
- Resolve customer issues while ensuring a high level of responsiveness and service.
Forecasting & Sales Planning
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
- Monitor sales performance and recommend actions to address opportunities or risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations to support successful product launches and customer initiatives.
- Provide customer and market feedback to help guide future product development and merchandising decisions.
- Support pricing and promotional programs by providing market intelligence and customer insights.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Share market insights with leadership to help identify new growth opportunities and improve competitive positioning.
- Represent Pukka at industry trade shows, customer meetings, and sales events.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in decorated apparel, headwear, promotional products, team sports, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success leading sales teams and consistently exceeding revenue objectives.
- Experience managing independent manufacturer representatives and national account relationships.
- Strong understanding of Team Dealer distribution and custom decoration programs.
- Knowledge of embroidery, screen printing, heat transfer, patches, DTG, and other apparel decoration techniques.
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, sales forecasting, and Microsoft Office.
